Neo-Eden
Chapter 2: Hugs make everything better

Cleo basstete, a simple woman who only wished to travel and find the love of her life. Growing up she was picked on quite a lot on her appearance, being albino and very furry were bad traits to have in the desert. The bright sun was painful on her sensitive eyes, and the warm climate was brutal for her fur, she had suffered some major dehydration in her childhood for her fur. Even when things looked down her parents still told her to push through and be strong. And she did, and now she finds herself in the library of infinite knowledge.

She was told to go keep an eye on a newcomer to the library, a elf lizard man named Zypher, Cleo had seen him before and from what she gathered he had a very conflicted aurora around him. But this did not stop her as she stepped into the garden.

She walked out and stopped as she noticed him leaning against a tree. She got a good look at him. His skin was a bit scaly with a tint of blue. He was fairly muscular not as muscular as the 12 foot monster that she had seen earlier but he was still very fit. His face was very easy on the eyes; it looked as if angels sculpted it. And his eyes where as dark as night with a mysterious look that said 'I might kill, or I might not'.

She was brought out of her thoughts when Zypher asked a question.

"Why are you here?" he asked.

She just gave a smile and walked forward to him swaying back and forth. She stopped a few feet away from him. She let out a small giggle.

"Well this is the garden of the library so it is a public place, and two one of the monks sent me to watch you to make sure you don't cause trouble." She said happily.

"Ok, and what makes you think I need a baby sitter?" Zypher asked as he raised and eye brow.

She stepped over to his right side. And let out another giggle.

"Oh sure a big scary elf lizard man can handle his little old self but can he handle and beautiful woman?" Cleo asked.

Zypher looked down and smirked.

"Maybe, do you know one?" Zypher said sarcastically

Shocked at such rude behavior towards a woman Cleo turned abruptly towards Zypher and point and finger at the fighter.
"Well I never, how dare you say that to a lady?" she scolded him.

Zypher then looked up at the sky and stared out into space. Then he looked at the woman in the eyes.

This gave Cleo another chance to contemplate on what she learned of him. He was blunt, arrogant, and dark. Yet at the same time he was handsome, charming, and mysterious in a good way.

She was snapped out of her thoughts as he asked her another question.  

"What's your name?" he asked

"Um…Cleo…Cleo basstete" she said cautiously.

There was an eerie silence between the two until Zypher smiled and looked at her with kind eyes.

"Cleo Huh…that's a pretty name for a lovely lady." He said.

Shocked at this sudden change in attitude she felt an increase of blood flow go through her muzzle in what one would call a blush but no one could see due to her fur.

Lost in her thoughts she failed to notice as Zypher walked up to her and looked at her.

"Well if your going to be watching me then lets go inside and sit down to get to know each other shall we Cleo." Zypher said in a calm tone.

Not knowing what else to do she just gave a small nod as they both headed back into the library.
